ORAN, Mo. -- Dorothy Marie Jansen, 87, of Oran died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 30, 1922, at Chaffee, daughter of the late Charles and Mary Welker Schoen. She and William H. "Bill" Jansen were married July 14, 1945, at New Hamburg, Mo. He preceded her in death Nov. 8, 2006.
She was a homemaker and a member St. Ann Sodality and Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Charlotte Jansen of Oran; a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Ann "Tutti" and Robert Gosche of Benton, Mo.; three grandchildren, Kerri (Craig) Cox of St. Louis, Crissy (Craig) Daniel-Campbell of Benton, Chad (Sara) Jansen of Oran; three great-grandchildren, D.J. Priggel of Oran, Brenden Campbell of Benton, Sydney Jansen of Oran; two brothers, Al Schoen of Cape Girardeau, Anton (Virginia) Schoen of Bonne Terre, Mo.; a sister, Margaret Seiler of Sikeston, Mo.; three stepgrandchildren; five great-stepgrandchildren; and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two grandsons, Darron Jansen and Todd Daniel.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Sunday, with parish prayers at 7, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Guardian Angel Catholic Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating. Burial will follow in Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad and Sara Jansen, Kerri and Craig Cox, Crissy and Craig Daniel-Campbell.
