MARBLE HILL -- Dorothy I. Hammers, 60, of Marble Hill died Saturday, Dec. 28, 1996, at her home.

She was born Feb. 11, 1936, in Bragg City, the daughter of James V. and Hazel Graham Taber. On April 11, 1953, she married Lynn E. Hammers. He died April 9, 1985.

She was a member of the Little Egypt General Baptist Church near Puxico.

Survivors include her mother, Hazel Odom of St. Louis; two daughters, Cheryl Sample and Diana Paragas, both of Marble Hill; two brothers, Bill Odom of Peveley and Bob Odom of St. Louis; a sister, Marlene McManenin of St. Louis; and six grandchildren.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Wayne Burchett officiating. Burial will follow in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
