RAYTOWN, Mo. -- Dorothy Hulsey, 69, of Raytown died peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Dorothy was the daughter of Bertha and Percy Farrar. Dorothy was born, the youngest of seven children, on Nov. 18, 1948, in Cape Girardeau.

Her fondest childhood memories were playing with her sister, Margie, cooking with her mom and delivering eggs with her daddy.

Dorothy was a 1967 graduate of Notre Dame High School in Cape Girardeau.

She married Bob Hulsey, the love of her life, in Holy Matrimony on April 19, 1975. They had two children, Gabriel Hulsey of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Elizabeth Hulsey Forlow of Blue Springs, Missouri.

Dorothy retired from the State of Missouri Department of Youth Services in Jefferson City. Never one to stay idle, she did seasonal work for the Internal Revenue Service in Kansas City, Missouri, until her death. She cherished the friendships she made at both the State of Missouri and the IRS.

Dorothy's absolute favorite job was being a wife and a mother.
