Dorothy Holmburg, 88, of Jackson died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born Sept. 1, 1915, in Jackson to John Vaughn and Minnie Wessell Priest Sr. She married Leonard Dale Holmburg in May of 1949, and he preceded her in death in 1993.
She was a graduate of Jackson High School and Southeast Missouri State University and worked for the Department of the Interior in Washington as office manager for the secretary of the interior until she retired in 1979. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson.
Survivors include two sons, Robert C. Holmburg of Cape Girardeau and Dean A. Holmburg of Washington D.C., and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel in Jackson, where parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Msgr. Edward Eftink officiating. Burial will follow in Jackson City Cemetery.
