PATTON, Mo. -- Dorothy Joan Hoehne, 85, of Patton passed away Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2016, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 21, 1931, at St. Louis, daughter of Issac Monroe and Willie Cleveland Trawick Rye. She was raised by her stepfather, Gus Mugele. She and Curtis Lee Waggoner were united in marriage in December 1948, and she later married John William Hoehne in November 1968. He passed away Oct. 11, 1980.
Dorothy worked at Mathis Greenhouse for several years and then for Brentwood Florist as a salesperson. She was a member of Union Light Methodist Church near Marquand, Missouri.
Survivors include her son, Curtis (Kathy) Waggoner of Sedgewickville, Missouri; daughters, Mary (Gator) Henson of Marble Hill, Missouri, Alice (Brad) Long of Marquand, Patricia (Skip) Brock of Farmington, Missouri, and Margaret (Nancy) Waggoner of Milton, Florida; 18 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David McCutcheon officiating. Burial will be in Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown, Missouri.
