Dorothy Garms, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, Sept. 4, 1999, at Barnes Hospital at St. Louis.
She was born Sept. 22, 1922, at Barlow, Ky., daughter of John F. and Rosie L. Moore Baker. She and Irvin Garms were married April 13, 1941, at Cape Girardeau.
She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Michael Garms of Jackson and Ron Garms of St. Louis; a daughter, Sharon Rowland of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Myrtle Durrett of Centralia, Ill.; four grandchildren, Kimberly Chronister of Cape Girardeau, Jason Garms of Jackson, Travis and Jennifer Rowland, both of Cape Girardeau; and a great-grandson, Allen Garms of Jackson.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Centenary United Methodist Church. The Rev. Clayton Smith will officiate with entombment to follow at Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
