Dorothy Melba Conder, 89, of Jackson died Monday, July 5, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Feb. 11, 1910, at Advance, daughter of John Matthew Riddick and Etta VanDine. She and Adam Theodore Conder were married April 19, 1932, at Jonesboro, Ill. He died Jan. 2, 1983...

Dorothy Melba Conder, 89, of Jackson died Monday, July 5, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Feb. 11, 1910, at Advance, daughter of John Matthew Riddick and Etta VanDine. She and Adam Theodore Conder were married April 19, 1932, at Jonesboro, Ill. He died Jan. 2, 1983.

She was a housewife and a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, James Cander of Danville, Ill.; a half brother, Edward Louis; four sisters, Roenia, Effie, Mayme and Grace; a half sister, Ida; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home. Dr. Brian Anderson will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.
