Dorothy Annis, 62, 374 County Road 316, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Aug. 28, 1934, at Benton, daughter of Leo and Irene Diebold Urhahn. She and Harold Annis were married June 30, 1951.
Annis had worked at the former Ely Walker Co. in Scott City. She founded Annwood Kennel in 1961, which she owned and operated until 1976. She continued to groom dogs until 1983. She was currently vice president and secretary of A&S Business, a mail contracting company started in 1979.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Donna Davis of Branson; a sister, Sue Lange of Jackson; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. Friday.
Funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steven Francis officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
