Doris Wise

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Doris L. Wise, 70, of Sikeston died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Oct. 28, 1931, in East Prairie, Mo., daughter of Mounce and May Wilson Stewart. She and Q.B. Wise were married April 16, 1983.

Wise was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Randy Hale of Sikeston, Stephen Hale of Carbondale, Ill.; three daughters, Barbara Cooper of Kingsville, Texas, Sheila Buchanon of DeSoto, Ill., Linda Danko of Streeter, Ill.; three brothers, Chester Stewart of Oklahoma City, Okla., David Stewart of Hurst, Texas, Garry Stewart of East Prairie; two sisters, Ruth Bone of Kennett, Mo., Frances Gerberding of Waterloo, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. Allen Shriver will officiate. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
