SIKESTON -- Doris P. DeJournett, 64, of Sikeston, died Wednesday, July 1, 1992 at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 30, 1928 in Sikeston to William and Ethel Ozie Wilson.
She was a cook for Kellett's Restaurant, Southside Cafe, and Two Tony's.
She was first married to Raymond E. Layton. He preceded her in death. On April 10, 1968, she married Riley W. DeJournett. He preceded her in death March 20, 1985.
Survivors include: three sons, Albert W. Layton of Sikeston, Raymond D. Layton of Rockford, Ill. and Jimmy Dale Thomas of Sikeston; one daughter, Barbara Merritt of Sikeston; six sisters, Bea Shipman of Dexter, Goldie Moser of Sikeston, Rita Berrera of Sacramento, Calif., JoAnn Talbert of Jacksonville, Fla., Ann Warren of Aurora, Ill., and Kay Fillmore of Sugar Grove, Ill.; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Frank Breeden officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
