PARK HILLS, Mo. -- Doris Ann Bradley, 82, of Park Hills spent the last four years of her life living in Cape Girardeau near her family.
Doris was born March 16, 1935, in Elvins, Missouri, and passed away Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Doris, known by her family as "Sugar," spread her sweet spirit and joy around to everyone she met. She was full of life and laughter, and it was a blessing to be loved by her.
Doris was a teacher for 33 years in the Central R-3 school system in Park Hills and instilled a love and commitment to learning not only in her students, but also her children and grandchildren.
She was a dedicated fan of the Central Rebels and Mineral Area College Cardinals.
But most of all, she was dedicated to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and joyfully worshipped and served him at Esther Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Ruth Virginia Crouch; husband, William Earl Bradley of Park Hills; and sister, Melba Rhodes of St. Louis.
She is survived by her daughter, Vicki (Dr. Gregory) Leet of Cape Girardeau and son, William Earl "Bo" (Carla) Bradley Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jenna (Cody) Bailey of Jackson, Mississippi, and their three children, Virginia, Genevieve and Cody Carroll Bailey Jr., G. Ryan (Madison) Leet of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and their daughter, Eleanor Jane Leet, Jake Leet of Cape Girardeau, Brendan Bradley of Memphis and Bailey Bradley of Memphis; brothers, Fred Crouch of Festus, Missouri, and Ed (Joyce) Crouch of Farmington, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; and many relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 10 to 10:30 a.m. today at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills.
A funeral service in Doris' honor will be begin at 10:30 a.m. today at the funeral home, with Cody Bailey delivering the eulogy. A private burial will be held at St. Francois Memorial Park Mausoleum after the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Coach Bill Bradley Memorial Scholarship Fund.
