DORA ELLA MAYFIELD

CHAFFEE -- Dora Ella Mayfield, 67, of Ferguson, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 1991, at Christian Hospital Northeast in St. Louis.

She was born Dec. 28, 1923, in Scott County, daughter of Leo and Josephine Felden Dumey. She married Vernowen Wade Mayfield Sept. 7, 1946.

Mayfield had lived in Ferguson since December 1964. She was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Dellwood, and Rockhound Gem and Mineral Club in St. Louis.

Survivors include her husband; four brothers, Theon Dumey of Cape Girardeau, Eugene Dumey of Chaffee, Frank Dumey of Randles, Herman Dumey of Piedmont, and a sister, Marie Miller of St. Louis.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee. The Rev. Allan Saunders will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee after 5 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7:30.
