OLMSTED, Ill. -- Donna Ruth Hughes Bradley Rose, 73, of Olmsted passed away at 2:05 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at Chateau Girardeau.

Donna was born Oct. 2, 1943, in Cairo, Illinois, daughter of the late Marcus Lafayette Hughes III and Ruth Hogendobler Hughes.

Donna was an active member of the Olmsted United Methodist Church. She took great pride as an LPN with the former Tip Hospice of Southern Illinois, and she was very active with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Leah Bradley; and a brother, Marcus L. Hughes IV.

Survivors include her husband, Elmer Rose of Olmsted; two daughters, Lisa (Zane) Nania of Leesburg, Virginia, and Angie (Craig) Mincheff of Rosemount, Minnesota; a son, Brian (Martha) Bradley of Knottsville, Tennessee; two stepsons, Steven Lynn Rose and Darrin Lewis Rose, both of Olmsted; two brothers, Clayton E. Hughes of Buckley, Illinois, and Dale Hughes of Penfield, Illinois; a sister, Margaret Stillwell of Champaign, Illinois; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; other relatives; and many friends.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Home Villa Ridge and from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Olmsted United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with Pastor Mike Sharp and the Rev. Tammy Horn officiating. Interment will follow in the Masonic Cemetery in Olmsted.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of memorials to the Olmsted United Methodist Church in memory of Donna Rose.
