Donald Seabaugh

Donald Ray Seabaugh, 64, of Jackson died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, in a work-related accident on Highway 177.

He was born Jan. 24, 1941, in Cape Girardeau, son of Clarence and Lydia Schlegel Seabaugh. He and Judith R. Ruessler Stortz were married Jan. 18, 2002, in Cape Girardeau.

Seabaugh was a graduate of Central High School and attended Southeast Missouri State University.

He formerly owned and operated Green Line Equipment Co., was a partner in World of Honda and partner with his father in Seabaugh Wholesales. He was a former car salesman, truck driver with Delta Express and USA Trucking, truck driver instructor in Sikeston, Mo., and was currently employed at Custom Express Inc.

Seabaugh was a member of Kiwanis Club and Eagles Aerie in Perryville, Mo., and former president and board member of TPA.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Dr. Vallerie Burke of Redlands, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Melissa Stortz and Michelle Layton of Perryville; two sons, Victor and Van Seabaugh of St. Louis; five stepsons, Brad, David, Chuck and Brian Stortz of Perryville, Richard Stortz of Jacksonville, Fla.; a sister, Lois Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren; and 16 stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hanover Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Daniel Hackney officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
