DONALD RION

ANNA, Ill. -- Donald L. Rion, 65, of Anna died Thursday, Aug. 19, 1999, at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Marion.

He was born Nov. 7, 1933, at Tamms, Ill., son of Lonnie Dow and Anna Harris Rion.

He married Dorothy Jo Dalton Sept. 19, 1955, at Tunica, Miss.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, a member of the Carroll P. Foster Post 3455 of the VFW in Anna.

He was owner-operator of Farmers' Produce in Anna for many years and purchased the Anna Feed & Paper Co. in 1973, from where he retired in 1991.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Lonnie and Doug Rion, both of Anna; a daughter, Cheryl Thompson of Jonesboro; two sisters, Wilma Sullivan of Makanda and Juanita Briggs of Anna; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home.

Funeral will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Anna Cemetery, with military honors by the Foster VFW Post.
