Donald Charles Poe, 79, of The Villages, Fla., died Thursday, April 29, 2004.
He was born Sept. 10, 1924, in Cape Girardeau.
Poe attended Central High School and Southeast Missouri State University. He received a master's degree in education from the University of Miami, and master's and doctorate degrees in psychology from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a psychology professor at Stephens College in Columbia until retiring.
He lived in Columbia most of his life, moving to The Villages in 2001.
Poe was a major in the U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Margo; and two sons, Charles Poe of The Villages and Michael Poe of Portland, Ore.
The Cremation Society of Fruitland Park, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.
