CHARLESTON -- Donald Morton Humphreys, 57, of Charleston died Saturday, Aug. 10, at his home.
He was born March 12, 1934 in Scott City to Herman and Ada Burns Humphreys.
On Aug. 20, 1967, he married Betty Sue Russell. She survives.
He lived in Mississippi County most of his life, and was employed by Babb Farms until ill health forced his retirement.
He attended Free Will Baptist Church in East Prairie.
Other survivors include: one son, Donald Humphreys of Charleston; two brothers, Virgil Humphreys of Rt. 3 Charleston and Harry Humphreys of Springfield, Ill.; three sisters, Laura Mae Sanford of Scott City, Hazel Williams of Columbia, and Ruth Frances Shriver of Granite City, Ill.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. today at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral services are scheduled Monday at the funeral chapel, beginning at 11 a.m. The Rev. Richard Farquhar of the Free Will Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
