Donald Eugene Lacy, 69, 1501 Scott St., died at his home on Tuesday, June 20, 1995.
He was born May 20, 1926, in Cape Girardeau, the son of Walter and Alberta Pool Lacy.
He married Shirley Button on Aug. 13, 1982, in Cape Girardeau. She survives.
He served in the Army during World War II with Company B 7-17th Tank Battalion. He was a member of First Baptist Church, VFW Post 3838, Capaha Antique Car Club and Breakfast Exchange Club.
He had owned and operated auto service stations and was an auto mechanic. Later he sold bulk gas and oil and continued his work as a mechanic. He also worked as a janitor for the VFW Post 3838.
Survivors are a daughter, Donna Jo Lacy of Cape Girardeau; a stepson, Lonnie Ray Eaker of Dallas; two brothers, Walter Lacy of Jackson and Dean Lacy of Cape Girardeau; and a sister, Violet Wearing of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday at the Lorberg Funeral Home Chapel, with Elder Warren Hahn officiating.
Military rites will be given by VFW Post 3838.
