FRIEDHEIM -- Donald N. Klaus, 69, of Friedheim died Thursday, June 1, 2000, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 21, 1930, at Friedheim, son of Norbert F. and Lorene Sauer Klaus. He and Verla J. Maisel were married April 6, 1952.
Klaus was a former partner in N.F. Klaus Inc. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim, and American Legion Post 133 in Perryville.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Timothy Klaus of Friedheim; a daughter, Terry Lawson of Hillsboro; his mother of Friedheim; two brothers, Milford Klaus of Friedheim, Clyde Klaus of Four Seasons; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday from 8-11 a.m. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Church. The Rev. David M. Burge will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
