Dona C. Heise, 93, of Jackson died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, where she had been a resident since 1990.
She was born Dec. 24, 1910, at Laflin, Mo., daughter of Joseph and Barbara Wills Crites. She and Otto Heise were married Nov. 14, 1931. He died April 15, 1983.
Survivors include a son, Melvin Heise and wife Janice of Millersville; a daughter, LaWanda Werner and husband Vernon of Jackson; five grandchildren, Randy and wife Connie Werner and Mark Werner of Jackson, Beth and husband Rob Janet of Cape Girardeau, Tim and wife Debbie Heise of Millersville, Tammie and husband Steve Duncan of Kearney, Neb.; 13 great-grandchildren, Brett, Erin and Brian Duncan of Kearney, Krista and Nicholas Heise of Millersville, Whitney, Kylie and Tanner Werner of Jackson, Clay and Dakota Werner of Jackson, and Jordan, Tayler and Ali Janet of Cape Girardeau; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a great-grandson.
Dona was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson, where friends and relatives may call Friday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
