Dona Grable, 82, of Oak Ridge passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 5, 1935, in Dearborn, Michigan, to William and Anne Reed Sprutte. She and Robert Grable were married March 14, 1952, in St. Louis. Dona Grable, 82, of Oak Ridge passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 5, 1935, in Dearborn, Michigan, to William and Anne Reed Sprutte. She and Robert Grable were married March 14, 1952, in St. Louis. They had been married 50 years when Robert passed away July 5, 2002.

Dona and Robert lived many years in the St. Louis area. She was employed at Killark Electronics in St. Louis. After Robert's retirement in 1999, they moved to Oak Ridge.

Loving survivors include five children, Bobbie (Gary) Huber of Perryville, Missouri, Tanya Carl of Oak Ridge, Terry (John) Wendt of House Springs, Missouri, Keith (Sheila) Grable of Oak Ridge and Tracey Marshall of Kansas; 12 grandchildren, Jeff (Brandy) Sutton, Stephanie (Tim) Matteson, Sonja, Brent and Todd (Melissa) Hodges, Jason Wendt, Shonda (Sean) Monighan, Ashley (C.J.) Smith, Brooke and Alyssa Grable, Alexis Turner and Tristen Grable; 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law, Robert Combs and Gill Ferrell; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Leicht; an infant great-granddaughter; two sisters, Peggy Combs and Deanna Ferrell; and her parents.

Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Ryan Sutton officiating.

Burial will follow at Caney Fork Cemetery near Oak Ridge.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Lung Association.
