Don Thiele

Don Eugene Thiele, 85, of Egypt Mills died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at his home.

He was born Aug. 27, 1935, in Egypt Mills to Julius G. and Mildred Fornkohl Thiele.

Don and Mary Jane Lange were married April 7, 1956, at Egypt Mills.

He worked at Spartech Plastics Manufacturing for 25 years, retiring in 1997.

He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Thiele of Egypt Mills; daughter, Deborah Hoffman of Egypt Mills; two grandchildren, Martin (Kim) Hoffman of Jackson and Jessica (Phillip) Hupp of Benton, Missouri; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Junior and Louis Thiele; a niece and two nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church of Egypt Mills.

Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
