ANNA, Ill. — Dolores Ellen Brown, 67, of Anna died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn. She was born Nov. 22, 1941, in Troy, Ill, daughter of William and Ellen Porter Murphy. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna. She worked at Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna until retiring after 30 years of service. She was an active member and treasurer of the AFSCME Council 31 Local 141...

ANNA, Ill. — Dolores Ellen Brown, 67, of Anna died Saturday, March 14, 2009, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.

She was born Nov. 22, 1941, in Troy, Ill, daughter of William and Ellen Porter Murphy.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna. She worked at Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna until retiring after 30 years of service. She was an active member and treasurer of the AFSCME Council 31 Local 141.

She is survived by two children, Richard Brown of Anna and Brenda Brown of Paducah, Ky.; a brother, Bill Murphy of Robertsdale, Ala.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rendleman and Hileman Funeral Home in Anna. Prayer services will be held at 7:30 p.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Anna, with the Rev. Dennis Schaefer officiating.

Interment will be in the Vienna Fraternal Cemetery in Vienna, Ill.
