SIKESTON -- Dolly Elva Burke Doles, 95, of Matthews died Saturday, July 31, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born Feb. 19, 1904, at Floyd, Ark., daughter of Henry and Emma Barnett. She married Robert Burke in 1924 in Memphis, Tenn. She later married Elmer Doles. He died March 1, 1985...

SIKESTON -- Dolly Elva Burke Doles, 95, of Matthews died Saturday, July 31, 1999, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Feb. 19, 1904, at Floyd, Ark., daughter of Henry and Emma Barnett.

She married Robert Burke in 1924 in Memphis, Tenn. She later married Elmer Doles. He died March 1, 1985.

She worked as a sales clerk and waitress. She was a member of the Mathews Nazarene Church.

She is survived by a son, Ernest E. "Gene" Burke of Dunnellon, Fla, several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Blanchard Funeral chapel in Sikeston, with the Rev. Don Heitman officiating. Burial will be in Matthews Cemetery.

Friends may call after 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
