ORAN -- Dixie Lee Houck, 81, of Oran, died Monday, Sept. 26, 1994, at her home.
She was born Oct. 7, 1912, at Morley, daughter of Harris and Daisy Lee Hooe Bissell. She and John Franklin Houck were married Jan. 9, 1934.
Houck retired in 1976 as a machine operator at International Hat Co. in Oran. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Oran, Oran Senior Citizens, and served on the Oran Housing Authority three years.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Gaylene Davis of Jonesboro, Ark.; a sister, Clara Rubel of Cape Girardeau, and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Oran after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church, with Pastor Arlie Houck and the Rev. Cy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.
