SIKESTON - Dixie J. Stewart, 81, of Sikeston, died Saturday, June 27, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born March 28, 1911, in Obion County, Tenn., to Frank and Mag Rittenberry Dunn.
She married A. E. Stewart in Elbridge, Tenn. on April 29, 1927. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1980.
Survivors include two sons, James "Pete" Stewart of St. Louis and Alton "Griff" Stewart of Sikeston; one daughter, Nodgie Allen of Moscow Mills, and one brother, Walter Dunn of Advance.
Eleven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren also survive.
Three daughters, one sister and one brother preceded her in death.
She was a resident of Sikeston since 1950, and was employed at the War Drum, later Lambert's Cafe.
She was a member of the Sikeston Baptist Temple Church.
Friends may call after 5 p.m., Monday at the Nunnelee Funeral Home in Sikeston.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, with the Rev. Marvin Butrum officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
