EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Dimple Emily Shands of East Prairie will be held at 3 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery.

Shands, 73, died Sunday, April 30, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Sept. 28, 1921, in Hornbeak, Tenn., daughter of W.N. "Bill" and Ida May Bennett Keeton. She and Roy Shands were married Dec. 28, 1942, in East Prairie. He died Aug. 7, 1979.

Survivors include a son, Larry Shands of East Prairie; a daughter, Sue Turner of East Prairie; three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
