Dimechi Harold Loran Herring, 41, a resident of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, April 3, 2020, at his home, surrounded by family.

He was born Jan. 19, 1979, in St. Louis to the late Harold Herring and Lorraine Deal Herring of Cape Girardeau.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Grace Community Church of Smithville, Missouri, until he relocated to Cape Girardeau. It was his desire to become a member of a local church, but due to his illness he did not fulfill this desire. However, his faith in God never wavered, and he walked hand and hand with Him until the end. No matter what the circumstances, he knew God was able.

Dimechi was a 1997 graduate of Althoff High School in Belleville, Illinois, where he was active in football, basketball, track and choir. He then attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
