OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Dillard Wayne "Speck" Masterson, 67, of Olive Branch passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 4:30 p.m. at his home.
He was born to Dillard and Lillie Henke Masterson in Cairo, Illinois, June 30, 1954.
Throughout his career, he served as an operating engineer, worked on the river and spent many years farming.
Survivors include two daughters, Beth Lawrence and Crystal (Aaron) Altenthal; two grandchildren, Kate (Cody) House and Breydan Hager; a great-grandchild on the way; siblings, Pearl (Larry) Senn, Rose (Mickey) Sissom, Joyce (Jerry) Baker, Randy Masterson and Sherry (Philip) Dothager; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A time of visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.
A funeral service honoring the life of Dillard will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Larry Potts officiating. Inurnment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests that memorial donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Memorial envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
