DONIPHAN, Mo. -- Richard Stanton "Dick" Brumitt, 88, longtime resident of Doniphan and father of Dr. Tom Brumitt of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at home, surrounded by family.

He leaves behind his wife, Barbara, to whom he was married 62 years; five children; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Doniphan United Methodist Church.

A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. in the church sanctuary.

Edwards Funeral Home in Doniphan is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Doniphan United Methodist Church, 305 Plum St., Doniphan, MO 63935; or Three Rivers Endowment Trust Scholarship Fund, c/o Director of Development, 2080 Three Rivers Blvd., Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.
