Diane Rowland

Diane L. Rowland, 40, of Jackson passed away Thursday, May 8, 2003, at her home, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Friends may call at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Funeral Mass will follow at 6:30 p.m. with Monsignor Edward Eftink officiating.

On Tuesday, May 13, a rosary service will be said at 6 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Home in Poplar Bluff., Mo., with Father Michael McDevitt officiating. Visitation will follow from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

A graveside committal service will be held Wednesday, May 14, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Poplar Bluff, also with Father McDevitt officiating.

Diane was born Oct. 11, 1962, at Lake Charles, La., daughter of Tom and Geraldine McDaniel Mansfield. Formerly of Poplar Bluff, she moved to Jackson in 1994. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. She had worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri in Cape Girardeau the past seven years.

Loving survivors include her twin daughters, Amber and Ashley Maples; a son, Robert Rowland, all of Jackson; father, Tom Mansfield of Poplar Bluff; mother, Gerry Crain of Poplar Bluff; a brother, Tommy Mansfield of Jacksonville, Fla.; four sisters, Audrey Clark, Cindy Piroli and Sherry Smith, all of Poplar Bluff, Barbara Wyrick of Marion, Ill.; a special friend, Duane Floyd of Jackson; and all the associates at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Missouri, whose special efforts to help Diane and the children during her illness are genuinely appreciated by her family.

As previously announced, the Diane Rowland Benefit Dinner, Dance and Auction will be held as scheduled on Saturday, May 17, at the Elks Lodge in Jackson. The family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to the Diane Rowland Benefit Fund, c/o the Bank of Missouri, 223 W. Jackson Blvd., Jackson, Mo. 63755 or 1622 N. Kingshighway, Cape Girardeau, Mo. 63703.
