Boyd Dewayne Simpkins, 66, of Oak Ridge passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021, at his home.
He was born Nov. 22, 1954, in Cape Girardeau, son of Boyd and Doris Cope Simpkins. He and Terry Culbertson were married Feb. 14, 1974, in Scott City. She survives.
Dewayne loved working on and driving old cars. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife of 47 years of marriage, Terry, he is survived by a daughter, Christy (Chad Hatheway) Schlimme and two granddaughters, Jennifer (Scott) Smith and Julie Hatheway, all of Jackson; his mother, Doris (the late Gerald) Moss of Scott City; and sister, Gerri (Tom) Reamer of Lake St. Louis, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his father and stepfather,
Memorial visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
