MARBLE HILL -- Deuel Lee Burton, 71, of Marble Hill died Saturday, April 17, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 19, 1927, at Marble Hill, son of LeRoy Burton and June Henderson Burton. Burton and Helen Stratton were married Nov. 5, 1948, at Marble Hill. She survives.
Burton was a member of the Jackson General Baptist Church. He was a World War II Army Air Force veteran. Burton was a 32nd Degree Mason and Past Master of Trowel Lodge 441 in Marble Hill. He was a retired maintenance worker for National Gas Pipeline of America.
In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a son, Darrell Burton of Altenburg; a daughter, Debra Burton of Marble Hill; three sisters, Jean Ezzell of Burfordsville, Melba Ray of Paducah, Ky., Doyle Burton of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Baker Cemetery, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating.
