ALTO PASS, Ill. -- Denver F. Baker, 78, of Alto Pass died Friday, Dec. 10, 1999, at the Jonesboro Health Care Center in Jonesboro.
He was born Nov. 20, 1921, at Zalma, Mo., the son of Ollie Lee and Ollie Francis Lacy Baker. He and Wilda Mae Brent were married at Charleston on Oct. 28, 1940.
He was a longtime resident of the Alto Pass area, working many years for Dude Venerable and later retiring from Flamm's Orchards.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mary Keller of Anna and Wilma Burtrum of Flint, Mich.; a son, Randy Baker of Alto Pass; a sister, Mary Haynes of Arnold, Mo.; two brothers, Otis Baker of Bridgeport and August Baker of Corcoran, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Elder officiating.
Burial will be at Cobden Cemetery.
