Dennis Price, 93, of Lake City, Fla., died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at his home. A native of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Mr. Price had lived in Lake City the past two years, moving from Cape Girardeau. Dennis Price, 93, of Lake City, Fla., died Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at his home.

A native of Ste. Genevieve, Mo., Mr. Price had lived in Lake City the past two years, moving from Cape Girardeau.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3838 in Cape Girardeau, and a member of Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen Union.

Mr. Price enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, playing cards and watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball games on television. He was of the Baptist belief.

Mr. Price was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Mrs. Christine Price, Jan. 14, 2000.

He is survived by three sons, Charles Smith of St. Charles, Mo., Walter "Allen" Smith (Susan) of Montreal, Mo., Earnest C. "Bud" Petty (Pam) of Marble Hill, Mo.; four daughters, Carol Ann Phelps (Bill) of St. Louis, Carla Lynn Miller (Don) of Salisbury, N.C., Linda C. Harris of Cape Girardeau, Kathy Sue Hendrickson (Uncle Bob) of Lake City; a brother, Richard Price of Cape Girardeau; 18 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five sisters and five brothers.

Graveside service will be conducted Saturday, March 24, 2001, at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau at 10 a.m. The Rev. Phil Thompson will officiate. Interment will follow.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of North Central Florida, 1900 Florida Gateway Center Boulevard, Lake City, Fla., 32024.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel, 829 North West End Boulevard, Cape Girardeau.
