BENTON, Mo. -- Dennie Davis, son of the late Cletis Sr. and Sadie Velma Nance Davis, was born Oct. 15, 1947, in Illmo and departed this life Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at his home in Benton at the age of 72.
Dennie was a 40-year member of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry Local 562 of the United States and Canada. He was an avid fisherman and loved being outdoors.
Survives include his wife, Brenda Starr Davis of Sikeston, Missouri; son, Johnny (Stacy) Davis of Vienna, Illinois; daughter, Traci Bollinger of Benton; two sisters, Delores Kriz of St. Peters, Missouri, and Patty Bickings of Benton; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Danny Bollinger; three brothers, Cletis Davis Jr., Jerry Davis and Jimmie Davis; and two sisters, Betty Davis and Brenda Niswonger.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.
