Delwain Meyr, 57, of Friedheim passed away Sunday, Feb. 5, 2023, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 4, 1965, in St. Louis, son of Dean and Delores Detjen Meyr.
Delwain was a 1985 graduate of Oak Ridge High School. He enjoyed farming from the time he was a child. He worked for Buchheit's Central States Distributing for the last 24 years. He was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats and the St. Louis Cardinals. He loved spending time with his family, who were near and dear to his heart.
Loving survivors include his parents, Delores and Dean Meyr of Friedheim; a son, Dustin (Janel) Meyr of Biehle, Missouri; three sisters, Daphine (Bradley) Buerck of Biehle, Dawnelle (Jeremy) Zoellner of Jackson and Dericka (Mike) Newell of Friedheim; two grandchildren, Mabel and Blayne Meyr; and niece and nephews, Chantil Bollinger, Calen Buerck, Kyran and Kelby Newell, Brayden and Breslin Zoellner.
Also surviving are great-niece and -nephews, Kota, Knox and Klara Bollinger and Stetson Buerck.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson and after 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at the church, with the Rev. Jarod Koenig officiating.
The family suggests contributions be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
