Delmar Wachter, 53, of St. Clair, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, March 17, 1992, at his home. He was born Jan. 20, 1939, at Dutchtown, son of Hugo and Lydia Wessel Wachter. He and Velma Harrell were married in 1957. Wachter owned and operated Coaches Inn Restaurant at St. Clair. He was a former football coach and teacher at St. Clair High School. Delmar Wachter, 53, of St. Clair, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, March 17, 1992, at his home.

He was born Jan. 20, 1939, at Dutchtown, son of Hugo and Lydia Wessel Wachter. He and Velma Harrell were married in 1957.

Wachter owned and operated Coaches Inn Restaurant at St. Clair. He was a former football coach and teacher at St. Clair High School. He was a member of St. John's Church of Christ and Kiwanis Club at St. Clair.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Joe Wachter of St. Louis, Eddie Wachter of Wentzville, Dee and Gus Wachter of St. Clair; two brothers, Bob Wachter of Chaffee, H.A. Wachter of Cape Girardeau, and a stepgrandchild.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. John's Church.

Friends may call from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday at Russell Funeral Home in St. Clair.
