Delmar Honey, 67, of Rockford, Ill., formerly of Tamms, Ill. died Thursday, June 5 at Rockford Memorial Hospital.

He was born Aug. 18, 1935, in Alexander County, son of Earl and Jewel Phillips Honey. He and Anne Elena Miller were married Dec. 31, 1964, at Rockford.

Honey was an auto mechanic for 37 years at Mandt Brake Co. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; his mother, Jewel Honey of Ullin, Ill.; five brothers, Darrelll Honey of Pittsburg, Ill., Glenn Honey of Mounds, Ill., Gary Honey, Douglas Honey and Terry Honey, all of Tamms, Ill.; nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Ill., from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The Rev. Verlee Eaker will officiate, with burial in McCrite Cemetery.
