GORDONVILLE, Mo. -- Delmar Lewis Eggimann, 64, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2000, at his home in Gordonville. Visitation will be Saturday, July 15, from 3-5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church of Jackson, Mo. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Bud Schott, the Rev. Charles "Chuck" Bowser, and Robert Dudley officiating. There will be a private family burial...

GORDONVILLE, Mo. -- Delmar Lewis Eggimann, 64, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2000, at his home in Gordonville.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 15, from 3-5:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church of Jackson, Mo.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m., with the Rev. Bud Schott, the Rev. Charles "Chuck" Bowser, and Robert Dudley officiating. There will be a private family burial.

Mr. Eggimann was born July 22, 1935, at Gordonville, son of Lewis and Frieda Hellwege Eggimann. On May 30, 1954, he married Elsie M. Ulrich. She survives.

Other survivors include his mother of Gordonville; two sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Jane Eggimann of Gordonville, Mark and Kathryn Eggimann of Pueblo, Colo.; a brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Marilyn Eggimann of Gordonville; four grandchildren, Terry and wife Leannah, Blake, Andy and Danny; and two great-grandchildren, Mersadies and Cameron Eggimann.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Mr. Eggimann served in the National Guard eight years. He was a self-employed autobody repairman for years. He was also a custodian at First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Mo.

Mr. Eggimann was very involved in church work. He was confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church at Gordonville. He did mission work in Louisiana, Ohio, Wyoming, and locally at First Baptist Church in Whitewater, Mo. He was active with the Royal Rangers and Bus Ministry at Lake Girardeau Assembly of God Church. He had also taught Sunday School at various churches.

Mr. Eggimann was instrumental in forming Gordonville Fire Department, and served on Gordonville Town Board.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Royal Rangers or the Youth Group at Lake Girardeau Assembly of God.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
