CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Dellia L. Baker, 85, formerly of Grand Rapids, Mich., died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at her home in Bertrand, Mo.
She was born Sept. 19, 1916, at Leonard, Ark., daughter of William E. and Jannie King Guthrie. She and John William Baker were married Sept. 21, 1935. He died Oct. 6, 2000.
Prior to moving to Bertrand seven years ago, Baker had lived in the Grand Rapids area for a number of years. She was employed with Furniture City Upholstery Co. and Kindle Furniture Co. until her retirement in 1977.
She was of the Baptist belief.
Survivors include three sons, Junior Baker of Homeland, Calif., James L. Baker and Willard "Doc" Baker, both of Bertrand; a daughter, Reba Peterson of Grand Rapids; a brother Jasper Guthrie of Tullelake, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Tom Bridges officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
