Della Dessie Shaw, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born June 17, 1942, in Midland, Texas, to Howell M. and Mozelle A. Graham Webb. She and James Henry Shaw were married in Houston. They had been married for more than 20 years, when he passed away in March 2017.
Della worked in the oil industry as an administrative manager for Mitchell Energy in Houston.
She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed singing in the choir at Saxony Village.
Survivors include two sons, Bobby (Elizabeth) Gray of Cape Girardeau and Billy Gray of Azle, Texas; brother, Graham Webb of Midland; two sisters, Gloria Cruse of Monroe, Louisiana, and Phyllis (Jerry) Tucker of Colorado City, Texas; four grandchildren, Casey (Hayley) Gray of St. Louis, Lt. Liam (Amanda) Gray of Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma, and Tre Gray and Alysia Gray, both of Azle.
Della was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
The family will have a celebration of life at a later time.
