Della Ramsey

NEW MADRID, Mo. -- Della Ramsey, 90, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Golden Living Center in New Madrid.

She was born March 10, 1923, in Malden, Mo., to Arthur and Myrtle Harty Street. She married Glen Ramsey, who preceded her in death June 14, 2004.

Della was a member of Jay-Wye Church of God.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Barbara Henry of Jackson and Wally and Freda Ramsey of Marston, Mo.; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Glenda Evans of Campbell, Mo., Lawanda Lalk of New Madrid, Carolyn and Jerry Hatter of Nellysford, Va., and Sharon and Robert Henry of New Madrid; a sister, Lola Long of Tupelo, Miss.; 15 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters, a grandson and a great-granddaughter.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in New Madrid.
