MOUNDS, Ill. -- Della Mae Forrester, 68, of Mounds and formerly of Cahokia, died Saturday morning, April 16, 1994 at the Southgate Health Care Center in Metropolis.

She was born April 19, 1925 in Shawneetown, Ill., the daughter of the late Jesse Ray Dick and Lovey Melvina Gadish.

She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley D. Forrester, on Aug. 4, 1986. Also preceding her in death were a son and grandson.

Survivors include: one step-brother, Edward Smith of Paducah, Ky.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, with Rev. Ernest Browning officiating. Burial will be at Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds.

Visitation will be after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.
