Della Lena Ford, 72, of 1413 Ripley died Sunday, March 19, 1995, at her home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 4, 1922, at Dutchtown, the daughter of George F. and Emma F. Grossheider Schlegel. On April 28, 1946, she married Robert W. Ford in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death on July 15, 1984.
She was a member of the Hanover Lutheran Church. She was retired from the Florsheim Shoe Co. and had worked part-time for the Senior Citizens Center.
Survivors include a son, Robert Ford of Whitewater; two daughters, Linda Harris and Janice Koch, both of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Herbert Schlegel of Jackson and Norbert Schlegel of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Lydia Seabaugh of Cape Girardeau; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hanover Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jeffrey Sippy will officiate, and burial will be in the Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
