ADVANCE, Mo. -- Delia Virginia Marshall, 87, of Advance passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at her home with family. She was born Aug. 29, 1929, in St. Louis to the late Lawrence and Catherine Halpin Marshall. Delia retired as a clerk for the Missouri Pacific Railroad company after many years of service. She was very talented and enjoyed working with stained glass, quilting and crocheting...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Delia Virginia Marshall, 87, of Advance passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2016, at her home with family.

She was born Aug. 29, 1929, in St. Louis to the late Lawrence and Catherine Halpin Marshall.

Delia retired as a clerk for the Missouri Pacific Railroad company after many years of service. She was very talented and enjoyed working with stained glass, quilting and crocheting.

Delia was a strong woman of great faith in the Lord Jesus and has left a legacy of love and strength. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed.

Loving survivors include a son, Steve (Joyce) West of Omaha, Nebraska; daughters, Kathleen (Loy Jr.) West Moore of Advance and Elizabeth West Kolb of Wildwood, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Nicole (Kyle) Moore Becker, Kathryn (Darin) Moore Eggimann, Alexander West, Cassandra (Chris) West Howard, Sean West, Cody West, Colt West and Mason Kolb; six great-grandchildren, Stella and Cole Eggimann and Declan, Rory, Kieran and Julianna Becker; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lawrence and John Marshall; and sister, Virginia Marshall.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

A memorial service to celebrate Delia's life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
