Delbert Bishop Sr.

Delbert D. Bishop Sr., 87, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau. He served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 26, 1948, to Dec. 30, 1953. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at New Bethel Baptist Church near Pocahontas...

Delbert D. Bishop Sr., 87, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.

He served in the U.S. Army from Feb. 26, 1948, to Dec. 30, 1953.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson and from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at New Bethel Baptist Church near Pocahontas.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with full military honors.
