Debra Lynn "Debbie" Hendershott, 46, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at her home. She was born March 15, 1962, in Meridian, Miss., daughter of James and Maudie Lou Hart. She and Tim Hendershott were married Oct. 17, 1981. Debra Lynn "Debbie" Hendershott, 46, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 11, 2009, at her home.

She was born March 15, 1962, in Meridian, Miss., daughter of James and Maudie Lou Hart. She and Tim Hendershott were married Oct. 17, 1981.

Survivors include her husband; her parents of Olive Branch, Ill.; two sons, Clint and Kirk Hendershott of Cape Girardeau County; a sister, Sandra Gibbons of Marion, Ill.; a brother, Brent Hart of Tamms, Ill.; and a grandson.

She was preceded in death by twin brothers and paternal and maternal grandparents.

Hendershott was a charter member of CrossRoads Fellowship Church in Jackson. She was a respiratory therapist at Southeast Missouri Hospital until her battle against breast cancer prevented her from continuing to work.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and after 9 a.m. Monday at CrossRoads Fellowship Church.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with Dr. Brian Anderson officiating, assisted by Jim Matthews and Tim Winborne. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.
