FORT WORTH, Texas -- Debbie Thomas, 67, formerly of Chaffee, Missouri, and Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. She was born Feb. 8, 1952, to the late Ervin and Betty Thomas. FORT WORTH, Texas -- Debbie Thomas, 67, formerly of Chaffee, Missouri, and Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Jan. 10, 2020, at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.

She was born Feb. 8, 1952, to the late Ervin and Betty Thomas.

A graduate of Chaffee High School, Southeast Missouri State University and the University of Missouri School of Medicine, she returned to Chaffee High School to teach English for seven years. She then earned her medical degree and practiced family medicine and obstetrics in Cape Girardeau.

Debbie enjoyed her dogs and cats, teaching and caring for people.
