Debbie Lynn Haynes, 57, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at her home.

She was born Nov. 25, 1958, in Anna, Illinois, to Ira Lyndel and Joann Joplin Johnson. She and Mike R. Haynes were married Feb. 14, 2000, in Kentucky. He passed away Feb. 17, 2010.

Debbie had worked for The Lutheran Home and was employed by the Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was very active in the church, was a Sunday school teacher, sang in the choir and helped in the kitchen with fellowship dinners.

Survivors include her mother, Joann Leadbetter of Cape Girardeau; a son, Mike (fiancee, Sarah Livesay) Alsip of Anna; a daughter, Jalana J. (fiance, Shannon Schafer) Johnson of Cape Girardeau; a brother, G. David Johnson of Cape Girardeau; a granddaughter, Makayla; and two nephews, Brian Johnson and Bruel Neal Miller.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Cassandra Johnson in 1990; her husband, Mike R. Haynes on Feb. 17, 2010; and her father, Ira Lyndel Johnson in May 13, 1986.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bill Joyce officiating. Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial contributions may be given to Southside Baptist Church or Cape Girardeau Senior Center.
